IQ INTERACTIVE ANNOUNCES NEW COO

Chief Operating Officer, Jay Schwartz, Joins IQ Interactive

ATLANTA, GA – Atlanta based IQ Interactive announced today that Jay Schwartz, long time director of operations for Philips Design has joined the digital agency as Chief Operating Officer.

“Jay is a master at the intricate art of delivering creative and technology together on time, on budget – every time” said Tony Quin IQ CEO, “This is an important addition to our leadership and a great opportunity to perfect our game.”

Jay was previously the director of operations, based in Atlanta, for Philips Design where he managed operations around the world with a team of 500 people including project managers, operation managers, designers and developers.

“My passion is orchestrating great delivery for clients in a smooth, successful business organization. I love the creative world and know how to find the right balance between art and business – which keeps everyone happy” said Schwartz.

Jarrett King, a senior project manager from Philips Design, also recently joined IQ as Manager of Production.

IQ Interactive Restructures For Growth

I’d like to set the record straight regarding the report that appeared in Agency Spy on 11/4/09 about IQ’s restructuring. IQ actually let seven people go out of 65, but we also just hired 2 developers, 2 project managers and a new COO. So I wanted to be clear, this is not another agency layoff, it is a restructuring of our staff to better fit to our current and future needs.

I know that sounds like BS, but it’s a fact that the digital agency business is changing so fast it makes your head spin. That’s why IQ works to reinvent itself on a continual basis. We have seen our business shift in the last two years from video production, campaign microsites, project work and production business for other agencies to digital AOR/retainers and dotcom work that has more than tripled. Along the way we have made many adjustments to our staff structure to reflect our changing skill needs and this is just another one, despite what some unnamed source says.

I know it’s easy to assume the worst when agencies seem to be failing so frequently, but IQ is actually stronger than ever and growing.

IQ INTERACTIVE SELECTED AS DIGITAL AGENCY OF RECORD BY CIT

NEW YORK, NY, May 27, 2009 – IQ Interactive has been selected by CIT, a S&P 500 company, as their digital agency of record after a comprehensive review.
